Just got this 2 weeks ago after watching this video. It didn’t disappoint! Except made the rookie mistake of eating to fast and burned the roof of my mouth but so worth it! Also, he was super nice!

I wasn't a huge fan of pizza in Italy and Rome when I went. It's been years so I would have to try again. Guess I'm just used to American pizza and the New York style.
I love our pizzas in Australia – full of yummy toppings. We are scheduled for a cruse in 2023 stopping here so will try.
Thanks for posting. No need to leave Central Rome for pizza. Roman pizza is fantastic. Also one note of correction. Roman pizza is not “ somewhat thick”. Its the thinnest pizza in the world. I have been to Rome 48 times and also lived there. Why go ALL THE WAY out of Rome to the cruise port Civitavecchia?? People leave there to come to the food paradise of Rome.

Pro tip as a traveler in EU, and person born here, never ever Rent a Car when you want to stay in the big city or close by. Expensive, stressful, unnecessarily. I know, it's a American thing to do it, but, in Europe, don't do it. Only if you, already seen the center of the city, and you want to see a lot of small villages near by, rent a car for a couple of days. For example, I just came from Athens, Greece, 5 day ticket for transport ( metro, bus, tram ) cost 8 Euros ( 1.6 Euros o day )
