Didn't know the Beatles stayed here. We stayed in 2007. Was fine. The continental breakfast was not impressive but everything else was OK. Would go again. Yeah, the upper hallways are pretty narrow… Good location for a hotel though!
That's the hotel where The Beatles stayed in the spring and summer of 1963. I stayed at the President Hotel in 1975 as a ten year old on a school trip. I don't think it had changed much since The Beatles were there. I remember there wasn't an on-suite toilet/bathroom and we had to share one with everybody else on our floor. The traffic was noisy and kept me awake. There was just one basin in the hotel room. Didn't know The Beatles stayed there, until about 18 years ago. I would have been more impressed, if I knew at the time. ð
