Interesting how wealthy areas of a non-Western countries are not authentic while only poor areas are authentic. It seems the people from the West have a perception issue about the rest of the world. Being poor is authentic???
my wife and i are thinking of moving to chaing mai we have lived in the philippines for 10 years, she is philipina, i am from usa my monthly net income is $5,000 i dont care about living around the rich area , i think u called nimman, but i am older and want to be near the markets etc in town, what area would u suggest, other than nimman, i will want a condo from all i have read, i think will be best, we want to live comfortable for sure, thanks for any help u might be able to offer

I really like the way you get to the point and don't ramble the way some people do. This is a great summation of that one area in C.M. Thanks for making this. I wish it had been twice as long but maybe you had to hurry. I for one would like to see you talk about other districts and the reality of life in that city. I want to say thanks for the reality check regarding the cost of living and how it isn't realistic to think you can live there for 500=1000,00 U. S. Good work, very professional. thanks

lI love the spot you've found and lifeofthai has a similar living situation in hang dong, about 10min from, it just seems more thai and you get more bang for your buck, plus not as much noise…thanks for all your positive information

Brett – I'm moving to Chiang Mai this year and I liked your video on SRISUWAN particularly cos I will need reliable broadband internet. Downside obviously is location in terms of getting taxis or Songtaews or it is easy to get UBER or some other service there. If so, any idea of cost from there to say MAYA Mall?
